Therapy for kids, teens, young adults, and the families who support them.
Allison Woo, Marriage and Family Therapy, is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Since no two individuals are the same, treatment is tailored to meet each client where they are, ensuring therapy aligns with their unique needs. In every session, my authentic self is present, fostering a space where clients feel safe to express their true selves in return. Building an honest connection is key, allowing me to serve as a genuine partner in their journey of growth, self-exploration, and development.
Working with kids, tweens, and teens is a passion of mine, and I recognize that the best outcomes happen when parents are engaged in the process. Collaboration, honesty, and transparency are central to my approach, while always prioritizing client confidentiality. Above all, my goal is to ensure that every client knows they have a safe, supportive space where they can truly be themselves and engage in meaningful, effective therapy.

Neurodivergent Kids, Teens, and Young Adults
Much of my work focuses on supporting neurodivergent individuals in some way. Whether you’re a parent of a child with a diagnosis or if you have a teen who’s struggling but unsure as to why, I’m here to help.
Helping Kids & Teens Manage Big Emotions
Big feelings can be tough to handle, but learning to manage them is possible!
Supporting Kids & Teens Through Anxiety & Depression
Anxiety or depression touches the lives of most tweens and teens in the Bay Area at some point. Having the life skills to identify and manage the way they affect our lives is something I support my clients with every day.

I have a deep understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD and help parents make sense of diagnoses and behaviors in a way that feels supportive and useful.
Working closely with the neurodivergent community has made me highly attuned to the unique needs of each individual. I help create treatment plans, determine if further testing is needed, and guide families through the often-overwhelming process of accessing services. As a trusted part of your care team, I’m here to make the journey clearer and more manageable.

I work with children and teens to understand what triggers their emotions and how their thoughts and bodies react. Using mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), we practice recognizing early signs of frustration, anxiety, or sadness and develop simple, effective ways to calm down before emotions take over. Through this work, kids and teens build confidence in managing their feelings and creating healthy habits that support emotional well-being for life.

Anxiety and depression can show up in many ways—trouble sleeping, irritability, sadness, panic attacks, constant worry, physical discomfort, or even behavioral outbursts. I provide a safe and supportive space where kids, tweens, and teens can express their feelings and work toward solutions that help them feel better beyond the therapy room. Using a personalized approach that includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and talk therapy, we build coping strategies to ease distress, foster resilience, and create lasting emotional well-being.

Navigating the shift from elementary to middle school, middle school to high school, or high school to college can be overwhelming. Social dynamics become more complex, academic expectations increase, and the pressure to perform grows. The search for identity, hormonal changes, and evolving relationships add to the challenges. I offer a supportive space to help young people build resilience, manage stress, and develop the confidence they need to thrive during these pivotal transitions.
